Renewed Strength Recovery House in Kingscreek is a men’s recovery house run by Pastor Mark and Jami Hackworth. Currently, there is a capacity for 8 beds and they are in the process of becoming a Certified Level 2 Recovery House through Ohio Recovery Housing. In addition to offering trained Peer Support and connection with their large and caring church family, the hallmark programming is vocational in nature in a large facility located on the same property. There are 3 professional vocational trainers offering a wide range of skill development, including welding and fabrication, automotive repair, precision machining /tool manufacturing, appliance repair, lawnmower repair, and general home construction/remodeling. The daily routine centers around work, treatment, and spiritual growth, and the program has gained statewide notoriety for its level of success. They are eligible for State Opioid Response grant funding and State allocated Recovery Housing funding, and the Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Service Board is proud to partner with this longstanding community resource.

Seriously Overcoming Addiction thru Recovery and Support
SOARS housing challenges participants to complete specific goals that will benefit their recovery and their ability to achieve independent living. SOARS housing program has five phase levels. The participant must complete each task in their current level to move into the next phase. A participant that is non-compliant or does not complete the assigned tasks in their current phase may be denied or suspended from moving into the next phase level.
Drug addiction is a difficult obstacle and many are not successful. The element of the SOARS House is for people who are very serious about Recovery which is an environment that encourages support. Research shows that individuals in this type of setting are more likely to succeed than those who return to their previous environment
