PLANThe focus of the Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services Board is to provide the right care for the people of Logan and Champaign Counties. The Board does this by assessing the behavioral health needs of our communities on an ongoing basis. This assessment includes formal survey’s, feedback from clients at our partner agencies, community partnerships with key leaders and organizations, and knowledge of local trends. |
FUNDMHDAS does not provide direct clinical care. Instead, the board takes findings from its many assessment and purchases services from provider agencies on behalf of Logan and Champaign County residents. MHDAS enters into contracts with accredited and certified organizations to provide services across the behavioral health continuum of care. Funds for these contracts come from federal and state tax dollars, as well as the generous support of our local levy. |
EVALUATEMHDAS works with its provider agencies to ensure that services are accessible and appropriate regardless of one’s ability to pay. Services must protect the dignity and rights of the people who receive them. It is the role of MHDAS to advocate for clients served by provider agencies to ensure they are respected and informed. |
